Built from the Ground Up for Speed and Stability

SpeedCounts started with a simple goal: help websites perform better.
Not just by shaving milliseconds off page speed — but by removing the slow, clunky, and risky parts of WordPress hosting that get in the way of real business results.

Originally developed as part of the Clicks Count agency group, SpeedCounts was built to solve problems we were seeing every day: slow sites, unreliable infrastructure, poor mobile performance, and confusing support. So we rebuilt the hosting experience from the ground up — choosing tech that prioritises speed, security, and user experience.

Today, SpeedCounts runs on the same infrastructure trusted by global agencies and high-traffic businesses. But our focus hasn’t changed: performance that drives rankings, conversions, and trust.

Why SpeedCounts?

Speed that sticks

We use Google Cloud C2 servers, container-based setups, server-level caching, and edge-level CDN. Sites load in under a second and stay fast, even under pressure.

Security, handled automatically

Every plan includes daily malware scans, real-time firewalls, managed plugin and theme updates, and automatic backups with one-click restore. No patching. No gaps.

Built for the way people browse now

More than half of your traffic is mobile. That’s why we focus on speed, smooth UX, and consistent uptime across all devices — no delays, no crashes.

Support that speaks your language

We don’t do copy-paste replies. Our team knows WordPress inside out, and works with you to fix caching issues, plugin bugs, update errors, and everything in between.

Who’s Behind the Speed?

About Kate Maclaurin

Kate Maclaurin is the co-founder of SpeedCounts.io and the founder of Clicks Count, a digital agency focused on clean, conversion-driven websites. For years, Kate built beautiful, functional WordPress sites — only to watch them slow to a crawl on underperforming servers. No matter how good the design or UX, clients kept running into the same problem: hosting that just couldn’t keep up.

That recurring frustration led Kate to team up with Anthony Coe, a long-time collaborator and SEO expert, to solve the issue once and for all. Together, they launched SpeedCounts with a simple mission: fast, reliable hosting built specifically for performance-minded businesses and agencies.

At SpeedCounts, Kate brings a sharp eye for user experience, site structure, and real-world client needs. She knows firsthand that speed isn’t just about numbers — it affects bounce rates, search rankings, user trust, and ultimately, business success. Her approach is practical, results-oriented, and deeply rooted in helping small businesses thrive online.

Kate leads client onboarding and support — ensuring that every SpeedCounts customer gets the benefit of high-performance tech paired with human-level support. She’s passionate about simplifying complex problems, building smart processes, and making the web faster for everyone.

Outside of SpeedCounts, Kate is a proud mom of three, a runner and involved in two local NPO’s in Cape Town, and an advocate for local innovation and believes that good tech should empower people — and that great hosting should never get in the way of a great website.

About Anthony Coe

Anthony Coe is the co-founder of SpeedCounts.io and the founder of AnthonyCoe.com, where he’s spent over a decade helping clients dominate Google rankings through advanced SEO strategies. But there was one roadblock he kept running into: no matter how well a site was optimized, poor hosting would kill its speed, and with it, its SEO potential.

That’s how SpeedCounts was born. After collaborating with Kate Maclaurin on numerous client sites, they both hit the same wall: slow servers and bad support. So they built the hosting platform they always wished existed — one that’s fast, reliable, and built for how real teams work.

Anthony’s strength has always been practical problem-solving. Clients come to him for SEO, but stay because he listens, explains, and adapts. His work is rooted in clear strategy, steady execution, and honest communication — the things that make long-term results possible.

Over the years, he’s worked with businesses across industries and continents, often through referral and long-term partnerships. His focus is always the same: get results, make them sustainable, and leave clients better equipped.

Anthony doesn’t chase trends. He tracks what matters, tests what works, and helps teams understand the why behind every move. That approach has shaped how he leads, how he builds, and how he earns trust.

SpeedCounts may solve a technical problem. But for Anthony, it’s part of a bigger goal — making sure nothing gets in the way of good strategy, smart teams, and measurable outcomes.
